Valentine’s Day 2025: Love is about loyalty… not just one day, says Samiksha Jaiswal
The well-known actress Samiksha Jaiswal, who has always been synonymous with love, is definitely one happy woman today as it’s the day of love and romance – Valentine’s Day! For the unversed, Samiksha Jaiswal is best known for her role of Gayatri Vajpayee in Rahul Kumar Tewary and Rolling Tales Production’s Colors TV show Ram Bhavan.
In an exclusive interview with Desimartini, Samiksha Jaiswal spoke about the concept of Valentine’s Day 2025 and her idea of spending the day. When asked how her character Gayatri would celebrate Valentine’s Day, Samiksha envisioned a romantic and elegant setting. “If my character had to plan the perfect Valentine’s Day for her husband, Jagdish, I’d take him to a hotel, book a suite, and set up an intimate dinner inside. I’d decorate the place beautifully—candles all around, a soft and elegant ambiance, and a pleasant aroma filling the air. A mix of sweetness and class is my style.”
Samiksha’s personal approach, however, to Valentine's Day is quite different. “I’ve never celebrated Valentine’s Day or followed any traditions related to it. Love can’t and shouldn’t be expressed in just one day. For me, love is about loyalty, mutual respect, undivided attention, friendship, and being there for each other through thick and thin.
I’ve been pampered a lot in the past, and I feel incredibly blessed and grateful for everything my partners have done for me. But love in real life is not the fairy tale we see on television. It’s raw, imperfect, and much deeper than the grand gestures shown on screen.”
Samiksha also reminisced about her on-screen journey, recalling emotional moments like shooting intense date sequences and forming strong bonds with her co-stars. “TV shows often portray love in a larger-than-life way. It’s unrealistic, but audiences enjoy the fantasy because it offers an escape from reality. In real life, though, true love is about making things work, no matter the challenges.”
