In just 24 days the disaster movie 2018 has grossed over 80 crores at the Kerala box office and 160 crores worldwide.
The movie is also the highest-grossing Telugu dubbed Malayalam having grossed 3.3 crores in its opening weekend.

Last week the movie created history by being the first ever Malayalam movie to enter the 150-crore club beating Mohanlal's Pulimurugan.
The movie has overtaken Baahubali 2 at the Kerala box office having grossed over 80 crores in its third week.
The disaster movie 2018 hit theaters on May 5 and has received critical and commercial success, the movie based on the 2018 Kerala floods grossed over 18 crores worldwide at the end of its opening weekend.
At the Kerala box office, on its opening day, the movie grossed around 1.8 crores but thanks to positive reactions the second-day and third-day collections have gone up, with the movie collecting 3.2 crores on day 2 and 4.1 crores on day 3.
The movie was officially announced in 2018 but had a troubled production due to the global pandemic. 2018 is produced by Venu Kunnappilly, C. K. Padma Kumar, and Anto Joseph under the banner of Kavya Film Company in association with PK Prime Production.
The movie grossed 9.17 crores on its first weekend, 14.9 crores on its second, and 10.7 crores on its third weekend. The movie has collected 5.5 crores from the rest of India.
The movie is the all-time highest-grossing Malayalam movie in Australia, the UK, and New Zealand.
The movie is directed by Jude Anthany Joseph. It boasts an ensemble cast including Tovino Thomas, Kunchako Boban, Asif Ali, Aparna Balamurali, Lal, Siddique, Indrans, Tanvi Ram, and Vineeth Sreenivasan.
The cinematography for the movie was handled by Akhil George, the editing by Chaman Chakko, and finally, Nobin Paul was in charge of the music.
