The movie was officially announced in 2018 but had a troubled production due to the global pandemic. 2018 is produced by Venu Kunnappilly, C. K. Padma Kumar, and Anto Joseph under the banner of Kavya Film Company in association with PK Prime Production.
The movie is directed by Jude Anthany Joseph. It boasts an ensemble cast including Tovino Thomas, Kunchako Boban, Asif Ali, Aparna Balamurali, Lal, Siddique, Indrans, Tanvi Ram, and Vineeth Sreenivasan.
The cinematography for the movie was handled by Akhil George, the editing by Chaman Chakko, and finally, Nobin Paul was in charge of the music.
Except for the blockbuster horror-comedy Romanchan, which grossed a whopping 64 crores at the box office, it had been a dull year for Malayalam cinema but 2018 has helped revitalize the industry.
2018 is currently running in theaters.
