Actor Saanand Verma needs absolutely no introduction at all. Best known for his role as Saxenaji in the extremely Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain, Saanand Verma has carved a niche for himself in the entertainment industry. However, not many know that his journey in the showbiz has been far from easy. From struggling with financial instability to overcoming emotional turmoil, Verma firmly believes that acting is not a profession for the faint-hearted.
In an exclusive chat with Desimartini, Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain’s actor Saanand Verma speaks about the uncertain life of an actor. He stated, “Acting is one of the toughest professions in the world because it requires you to destroy your own self—to become someone else. The more we erase ourselves, the better we portray a character."
Besides Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain, Saanand Verma, has also appeared in films like Babli Bouncer, Chhichhore, Vijay 69, and Pataakha amongst others. While acknowledging that patience is the most crucial virtue in this field, the actor said, "If we lose patience, we fall into depression. Many talented actors disappear from the industry simply because they cannot cope with its uncertainty”.
In the same breath, he added, “My life’s philosophy is rooted in resilience. An actor constantly faces emotional and financial stress, and there is no escaping it. I haven’t been able to escape it myself. Even today, I struggle financially and always find myself under emotional stress”.
Despite all the hardships and uphill journey in showbiz, this ever-smiling and never-say-never actor that he is, Saanand Verma remains rock solid committed to his craft. As a fitting statement, he said, "There is no other option but to wait and focus on whatever work comes your way. One should do their work with dedication and wait for the right opportunity. I leave everything to a higher power, stay happy, and try to keep those around me happy too. That’s all we can do”.
