Saiyami Kher all set to create history with her second Ironman Triathlon
Saiyami Kher needs absolutely no introduction. Even though she hails from a family with strong ties to the entertainment world (for the unversed, she is the granddaughter of veteran actress Usha Kiran and also the niece of Tanvi Azmi), Saiyami entered showbiz totally on her merit. Doubled up with oodles of positivity, enthusiasm, never-say-never spirit, this go-getter has been equally winning laurels in sports as well as in the entertainment arena.
Talking about sports, she is now all set to participate in the Ironman 70.3 Jönköping European Championship in July 2025, where endurance is the keyword. For the unversed, is the very same Saiyami Kher, who went onto make history last year as the first Indian actress to successfully complete the prestigious Ironman triathlon. Saiyami Kher took to social media to share the great news.
In a media statement, she said, “Completing the Ironman 70.3 last year was one of the most fulfilling experiences of my life. It taught me the value of persistence, discipline, and mental strength. This time, I have chosen a much tougher route but I want to push myself further.
I have only 5 months and I'm shooting for 2 films but I also know if one uses time well 24 hours is a lot of time. I really hope, in my small way i can inspire others to embrace fitness and basically show people that if you put your mind to it, it can be done.”
Readers may recall that, just a few days back, we had reported about her adding another feather in her cap of achievements by completing a starter level of Surfing in Australia. Recalling the ‘surfing’ experience, the stunning Saiyami had said, “Surfing has always been on my bucket list, and I couldn’t have asked for a better place to learn than Australia.
It wasn’t easy—there were moments of frustration when I fell off the board countless times—but every time I managed to ride a wave, it was so much fun and so addictive. I obviously just picked up the basics but it’s something I definitely want to be good at. I’m already looking forward to going back and furthering my skills in surfing.”
