I want to explore my craft with more variety in work, says Avantika Dassani | EXCLUSIVE
Even though she is the daughter of Bollywood’s evergreen star Bhagyashree, Avantika Dassani chose to carve her own niche and identity in Bollywood. Within a very short span of time, this young lady has reached dizzying heights.
In an all-exclusive interview with Desimartini, the talented Avantika Dassani speaks about her career path, her approach to any roles amongst other things
Avantika, to start with, what do you think are the qualities that make a good actor, and how do you work on developing those skills?
I think like any skill it’s something you have to keep working on, practicing and constantly being open to learning new things. Be aware, look for new experiences in life and introspect on those things to see how they impact you and those around you. These… are things that I have just made part of my approach towards life!
How has your character evolved in Mithya 2 compared to the first season?
Rhea Rajguru went from being a troubled student looking for love and attention to being a grown businesswoman, scorned and on a path of revenge. She's also murdered, gone to jail, been deceived and deceived others. And went from being jaded and lost to being a single shade of wrong.
The show has received a lot of praise for its suspense and twists. How do you keep up with the tension while filming such dramatic scenes?
By playing games on set (haha) we don’t stress over that much and just try to enjoy ourselves doing what we love.
Now that Mithya Season 2 is released, do you feel your character has reached a sense of closure, or do you think there’s still more to explore in future seasons?
I personally think there’s closure to the character and a lot has been explored there. I’d like to work on different characters now and explore my craft with more variety in work!
Inn Galiyon Mein is your upcoming movie. Can you tell us a bit about your character and what drew you to this project?
She’s a stark difference from what you saw in Mithya. She’s a gully ki ladki from lucknow. And it’s a very different world. So I’m very excited for people to see me in this new avatar far from what they saw me in mithya or on Instagram.
